The Energy Services Program Assistant supports clients through the application process while also assisting with accounting and financial reporting for the program director. The individual’s responsibilities include offering intake assistance, attending community events, conducting in-home visits, and engaging in outreach activities to increase program awareness. This role includes client-facing support, application tracking, preparing financial and operational reports, and supporting departmental logistics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.
- Conducts outreach to educate clients on the intake and application process.
- Assists clients with completing and submitting applications for energy services.
- Screens incoming applications to ensure required documentation is included and prepares files for review.
- Maintains records to monitor application status and informs clients about their application progress.
- Visits clients in their homes as necessary to assess needs, provide application support, and discuss available programs and resources.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring they have the information and resources needed to access services efficiently and accurately.
- Supports financial and administrative functions by preparing budget-related reports, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.
- Represents the organization at community events to promote services and provide information on available resources to underserved populations.
- Ensures all required documentation is collected and properly filed for processing.
- Maintains accurate records of client interactions, intake status, and outreach activities.
- Compiles and organizes Certification and Inspection (C & I) reports and maintains records of completed units, ensuring they are prepared for the director's monthly review.
- Works with the director to track and review unit-specific invoices and financial expenses.
- Performs light custodial and maintenance duties within the department and on-site as needed.
- Complies with health and safety regulations, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.
- Actively participates in JCEO’s Risk & Safety Committee, providing insights to ensure safe practices in service delivery and workplace operations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and, six months of related experience and/or training; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
