About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, compassionate, and enthusiastic Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be one of the first impressions of our office, so excellent customer service skills are a must. Required Hours
Monday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Tuesday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Thursday: 7:00am - 4:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Oak Brook, IL
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction
- Greet patients warmly and make them feel welcome.
- Collect copays and verify insurance information.
- Assist patients with any questions or concerns.
- Clinical Support
- Assist providers with patient care during examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms by setting up necessary equipment and supplies.
- Ensure all medical supplies and medications are stocked and inventoried.
- Administrative Duties
- Input and manage electronic medical records using our web-based software.
- Schedule future appointments and manage the appointment calendar.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Facility Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize rooms and common areas to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Ensure all areas comply with health and safety regulations.
- Communication
- Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff.
- Provide clear and accurate information to patients regarding their care plans.
Qualifications
- Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with electronic medical records (training will be provided).
- Language
- Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
