What are the responsibilities and job description for the Film Program Manager - Exec Ops position at Jolt?
Independent film is at risk—and Jolt exists to rewrite its future.
Jolt is an exciting new platform at the intersection of technology, culture, and storytelling. We're building the world's first Interest Delivery Network: a curated, data-rich ecosystem that connects bold, independent films with the audiences who will most want to see them. At a time when originality is being crowded out by algorithmic sameness, Jolt restores creative sovereignty to filmmakers, empowering them with the tools, marketing muscle, and revenue share they need to thrive. We don’t bury important films—we launch them.
We’re not just another streaming service. We’re a movement for culturally urgent cinema.
Jolt Is Looking For
A highly organized, mission-driven Program Manager with the instincts of a top-tier Executive Assistant and the precision of an air traffic controller. You’ll be embedded at the center of Jolt—supporting our executive team, keeping all of our programs on track, and making sure no thread gets dropped as we scale this ambitious startup to support our new slate of films.
The ideal candidate is someone who has thrived in industries known for complexity, chaos, and high visibility: live events, fashion, publishing, entertainment. You know how to navigate sensitive situations with discretion, you think five steps ahead, and you take pride in managing dozens of priorities with elegance. You're not intimidated by fast deadlines, shifting timelines, or unusual hours—in fact, you prefer it.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary operational partner to executive leadership: managing calendars, meetings, stakeholder management and high-level communications
- Orchestrate multi-phase programs and campaigns from kickoff to delivery—screenings, partnerships, product rollouts, and more
- Coordinate internal workflows and external touchpoints with exceptional clarity and follow-through
- Even though you could hold it all in your head, skilled at tracking, managing, and orchestrating the rest of the team through complex task matrices using tools like Asana, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks
- Develop and enforce systems to create repeatable, high-performing processes across Jolt’s fast-moving departments, with little oversight
- Handle logistics for cultural events, film launches, and high-stakes meetings—often across time zones and on tight timelines
- Navigate sensitive relationships with care, including filmmakers, funders, and cultural partners
- Lead with calmness, grace and operational excellence in dynamic, high-pressure environments
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Monitor and track program risks, addressing issues to keep programs on track
Qualifications
- 5–8 years in a high-pressure Executive Assistant, Chief of Staff, or Program Manager role—ideally in live events, media, fashion, or entertainment, open to other relevant high-pressure experience. Tell us about it and why it is a fit.
- Deep fluency with tools like Asana, Notion, GDrive, Slack, and the systems-thinking required to manage dozens of interdependent tasks
- Unshakable under pressure, with a reputation for precision, adaptability, and follow-through
- Known for being the calm in the storm—and the person everyone turns to when something absolutely must get done
- Strong judgment, high discretion, and intuitive stakeholder management
- Experience managing weekend and evening workflows, especially around launches, events, or campaigns
- A genuine interest in independent film, storytelling, and cultural movements is a major plus
