JPR is looking for Civil Engineering interns for the summer who will be able to get some exposure in multiple disciplines during their time with the company. Those disciplines are listed below:
- Water Resources
- Structural
- Transportation
- Industrial/Commercial and Creative Site Design
**This position could be located in either our South Bend, IN or Fort Wayne, IN location.**
Education and Experience:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Sophomore, Junior, Senior preferred; Freshman will be considered
Basic Skills include:
- Ability to work in team environment while actively promoting collaborative and innovative culture.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the engineering team with tasks required to meet the expectations and requirements of the client's project.
- Perform work under close supervision and provide support to more experienced personnel.
- Perform analyses and design required for minor structures, systems and equipment items.
- Prepare sketches and diagrams.
- Review and check detailed drawings and layouts.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, economic and technical feasibility studies, and studies aimed at evaluating alternative systems, equipment, materials or engineering methods.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and modeling using industry-standard software.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
