Description
The Junior Designer for EGD is responsible for supporting and executing a broad range of time-sensitive client and marketing projects. To assist Jones Worley’s Environmental Graphic Design practice and the firm’s clients, the Junior Designer is expected to perform the following tasks:
Environmental Graphic Design
- Work with and learn from peers and leaders in the environmental graphic design process.
- Learn to plan and document a variety of client projects
- Collaborate with team on all aspects of the design and production process with senior staff to develop graphic design elements, signage package components, production art, PowerPoint slides and other general graphic design needs
- Assist in creating project presentations for clients
- Provide documentation support for senior team and other studio designers
- Participate in the generation of multiple initial concepts and development of viable, documented design solutions
- Generate message schedules and sign location plans
- Participate in team meetings as needed
Marketing
- Assist with searching and sourcing stock art, graphics, photos and other images;
- Provide support and input to enhance Jones Worley’s internal marketing efforts (website, social media, etc.)
- Support the development and maintenance of proposals and qualification materials
Project Coordination
- Provide assistance on projects by assisting the firm’s principal and program managers as needed.
Qualifications
- Be meticulous about accuracy and attention to detail
- Must have a strong interest in design trends
- Languages – must be fluent in English and be able to write competently
- Excellent verbal communication skills – has the ability to convey information verbally to fellow team members and clients
