Accountant

Jonesboro Country Club (JCC) is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, and supporting the overall financial operations of the club. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and committed to maintaining high standards of financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Record and reconcile financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements and reports.
• Oversee the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Prepare tax filings and support audit processes as needed.
• Monitor cash flow and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, broad experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• 2–3 years of accounting experience; hospitality or club management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll processing.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
