Administrative Assistant
Job Description:
The Jonnycake Center of Westerly is a non-profit social services agency providing assistance and food pantry benefits as well as a 7,000 sq ft public-facing Thrift Store. We are seeking a 20-hour/week Administrative Assistant who will be responsible for providing clerical and office support to the Director of Admin & HR and other Jonnycake Center of Westerly leadership. This position will work closely with the Director of Admin & HR to assist in all aspects of the organization including but not limited to:
- Primary Duties: Clerical and bookkeeping assistance, data entry, mail and donation processing, answering emails, scheduling, and general phone calls.
- Assist with clerical and bookkeeping functions to support Director of Admin/HR, Executive Director, and other Senior Leadership Team members, which may include producing forms/flyers/print announcements, research, supply inventory monitoring, filing, running errands locally, and similar activities.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and/or equivalent experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals at all levels in the organization.
- Ability to effectively communicate information both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively while meeting deadlines on a daily basis.
- Tenacious reliability.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and planning skills.
- Sensitivity with confidential matters.
- Proficiency in MS Office and/or Google products, such as google sheets, docs, slides.
