What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Manager position at Joplin RV?
We are seeking an experienced Office Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in automotive, rv, powersports or marine accounting.
· Execute the company’s financial strategy
· Develop plans for growth to increase company profit while also reducing expenditures
· Manage all accounting procedures
· Overseeing the work of all accounting office employees to ensure they work productively and meet deadlines and company standards.
· Coaching any accounting employees struggling in their roles
· Creating an office budget and ensuring all employees follow it
· Work with executive management team to create, monitor and manage departmental expense ratios
· Monitor office supplies for each department
· Interviewing and training new accounting office employees and organizing their employment paperwork
· Tracking accounts payables and keeping all payables current
· Tracking accounts receivables and keeping all receivables current
· Reporting office progress to executive management and working with them to improve office operations and procedures.
· Staying current on local, state and federal laws and ensuring the dealership complies in all areas.
· Monitoring and maintaining all business and dealership licenses and permits.
· Maintain proper records for all departments
· Monitor bank accounts, make deposits and balance accounts.
· Payoff liens and loans as per the operation of daily business transactions.
· Ensure the security and privacy of all company, personnel and customer records.
· Oversee the human resources department (you ARE the HR department for now)
· Maintain a positive working relationship with all vendors, lenders and manufacturers.
Qualifications
· Positive attitude is mandatory. Must be willing to creatively contribute to the executive management team to strategically manage the growth of the organization.
· A college degree in accounting would be helpful but not mandatory, especially if the candidate has previous experience in an automotive dealership, RV dealership, marine or motorcycle dealership.
· The ability to multi-task under pressure while staying organized and professional.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially the ability to build spreadsheets with formulas.
· Deadline and detail oriented
· General Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
· Produce monthly financial statements by the reporting deadline
· Assist CPA with compiling required information for tax return preparation
· Complete vendor and business partner applications and maintain ongoing compliance
· Perform other accounting duties as may be assigned by Management
