Jorda Mechanical Contractor is a South / Central Florida based Mechanical Contractor specializing in the complete HVAC systems for new construction high rises, installations, service, repairs, and maintenance projects. We are looking for a qualified Field Supervisor / HVAC Foreman that can run our construction division projects from inception to completion in the Tampa area. Primary functions include overseeing projects and field operations, construction crew supervision, and keeping the project on schedule and on budget.

JOB SUMMARY: Experienced HVAC Foreman to assist in new construction projects, in charge of the progress of the jobs keeping on the schedule in a cost-effective manner. In this position you will be overseeing, and managing the projects until TCO completion. Qualified candidates must have HVAC supervision field experience.

JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:

  • Ability to read and follow plans
  • Fluent ability to install and repair HVAC Systems including cooling towers, boilers, heat pumps, and residential condensing units.
  • Fluent ability to install and complete mechanical piping materials lists including measuring and field coordinating with other trades
  • Firm comprehension of local code related regulations for HVAC and Mechanical work
  • Ability to work under pressure and problem solve
  • Manage all aspects and details of a job, including conducting the weekly safety meetings, ordering materials, scheduling, quality assurance, and maintaining deadlines
  • Dedication to customer satisfaction and exhibits outstanding customer service skills
  • Able to attend job-site meetings with the general contractor and developers
  • Estimate materials and cost for requested scope changes
  • Maintain project schedule
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems, manage and mitigate risks
  • Assist with all requests for information, change requests, etc. and issue appropriate responses
  • Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Coordinate timely schedule updates with leadership team
  • Manage your construction field staff
  • Enter your teams time and supervise their time cards

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • 8 years of proven experience in mechanical and construction
  • General understanding of related construction principles (HVAC, framing, plumbing, electrical etc.)
  • Well organized and capable of running multiple jobs at a time
  • Solid understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management
  • Able to effectively communicate and negotiate with various teams to resolve cost issues
  • OSHA 30 hours (preferred)

Education and Work Experience

Fluent knowledge of HVAC trade. Minimum of 4 years working as a HVAC Foreman/ Supervisor.

Physical Abilities:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, use hands to handle drawings and type, talk clearly and listen.

  • Compensation is dependent on experience and relevant work experience.


Salary : $65,000 - $95,000
