The Instructional Assistant Special Schools position is part of the Jordan Behavior Assistance Team (JABAT). Members of JABAT support the behavioral needs of students across Jordan District in PreK through Post High School so they can access core content and engage in healthy social interactions in the least restrictive environment possible. Instructional Assistants provide support for students in the classroom and implement behavior plans created by the behavior specialists.Rivers Edge
Must complete Basic Training (5 hours) provided by JSD Special Education Department. Training must be completed within one week of hire as a condition of employment.
Additional 40 hours of training is available through the Special Education department allowing the employee to increase to lane 6 upon completion.
Training must be completed within six (6) months from hire date as a condition of employment.
