Routine Tasks
- Assist with overseeing daily production activities in the commissary, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards
- Conduct daily inspections of coolers and fridges for FIFO (First In, First Out) compliance, proper labeling, and freshness
- Monitor and support production staff in following recipes accurately to maintain consistent product quality
- Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure a visually appealing and tasteful presentation
- Guide staff in maintaining a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Ensure that all bakery equipment is in good working condition and report any issues promptly
- Collaborate with the Bakery Manager on hiring, training, and termination processes as needed
- Maintain payroll and ordering costs to stay within budget parameters
- Innovate and create new, unique recipes that align with Joseph's Classic Market's brand and customer preferences
- Culinary Arts Degree or Baking School certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commissary, banquet, or related field
- Advanced knowledge of baking principles and techniques
- Bilingual candidates are strongly preferred
- Ability to work well with others
