Josh’s Frogs is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual(s) for a full-time Temporary Feeder Insect Production Technician position in our Owosso Insect Department. In this role, you’ll be a key part of our team, focusing on insect husbandry and helping to ramp up our insect production to meet wholesale demands.

Temporary Full-time, (40 hours per week, estimated to last at least 3 months)
Training Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Regular Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm-
$15.25/hour Starting Wages

Day-to-day tasks include:

Provide daily insect husbandry such as Watering, feeding, and cleaning insect bins to maintain healthy and thriving insects

Ensuring high-quality care of insects to support our production goals and breeding plans

Contributing to the daily operations and growth of our insect stock

Sorting roaches by size

Performing facility maintenance such as cleaning, caulking, and building shelves

Must be able to work and cooperate in a team environment

Perform repetitive movements and tasks

Must be efficient while maintaining speed and accuracy

Must be able to use a hand drill, band saw, caulk gun, and other small tools required

Previous Insect husbandry experience

Basic Computer knowledge

Basic skills with hand tools

Integrity - Ensuring all roaches get fed and watered according to schedule when the manager is not there. Admitting to mistakes so we can resolve issues and grow together

One Team - Communication with people in other departments about who needs roaches delivered for their animals, helping out customer service with roach-related questions

Constantly Growing - Dedication to growing our roach projects as fast as possible by setting up as many new breeding colonies as space constraints allow
