What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bindery Operator position at Jostens?
Bindery Operator
Location: Sedalia, MO
- Must be able to successfully work with others in a positive, cooperative manner in a team-oriented environment to accomplish the company goals.
- Proactively communicated with supervision and co-workers of needs and concerns in order to promote teamwork.
- Assist in the production and fulfillment of yearbooks, student planners, and commercial printing products.
Learn and practice production, cleaning and maintenance procedures for bindery machinery e.g. Vareo, perfect bind, case In, coil binding and punch, and other bindery machinery. This must be scheduled for minimal disruption of production. - Must be able to follow safety procedures.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned and abide by all company policies.
- Be able to lift 50 lb. throughout shift.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Use of a pallet jack
- Good organizational ability, and ability to prioritize his/her daily work load,
- Dependability.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and neatness in work habits
- Good communication skills, verbal and written,
- Ability to prioritize and provide direction as necessary,
