MARKETING MANAGER

Jostens is looking for a seasoned Marketing Manager to support our fast-paced, highly collaborative College Division. In this role, you’ll partner closely with a Marketing Director to design and execute data-driven strategies across digital and traditional platforms. With direct ownership of a key business line, you’ll lead high-impact initiatives, mentor a team, and help shape the future of one of the most iconic brands in the industry.
YOU WILL:
  • Lead Strategic Marketing Planning And Execution. Identify and implement short- and long-term marketing plans that drive growth across college-focused product lines and customer segments.
  • Develop Comprehensive Campaigns And Materials. Create high-impact messaging, collateral, email, social, and video content that engage college consumers and drive revenue.
  • Partner Across The Business. Collaborate with Sales, Creative, Digital, Product Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to align on goals and ensure flawless execution.
  • Drive Brand Engagement And Customer Experience. Implement strategies to strengthen the Jostens brand within the college market, improve customer experiences, and increase buy rates.
  • Manage And Develop A Team. Provide leadership to two direct reports, supporting their professional development and ensuring team success.
  • Oversee Budget And Forecasting. Manage marketing spend and develop forecasts that align with profitability objectives.
  • Typical/expected % of overnight travel: Up to 15 – 20%
YOU HAVE:
  • Education. A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Experience. 7 years of marketing and consumer demand creation experience. Proven ability to drive engagement across multiple channels.
  • Integrated Marketing Strategy. Expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive on/offline campaigns, including catalog, online, and retail marketing.
  • Communication & Organization. Outstanding written and verbal communication, project management, analytical, and organizational skills. Effective presenter with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership. Strong interpersonal abilities and experience working across large, matrixed teams to ensure alignment and integration.
  • Team Leadership. Demonstrated ability to lead within teams, motivate others, and influence outcomes.
  • Adaptability. Proven ability to think fast, respond quickly, and manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Project & Time Management. Extremely adept at managing multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Technical Proficiency. Proficient in MS Project and other relevant tools.
  • Inclusion & Collaboration. Ability to engage and seek diverse perspectives for the best possible solutions and outcomes.
  • Preferred. MBA or 3–4 additional years of relevant business experience; familiarity with social media best practices and desktop publishing.

Our Marketing team leverages digital marketing strategies and tactics focused on schools, independent sales reps, parents, and students to deliver the right message, to the right customer, at the right time. Team members will understand and leverage customer insights through data analysis & testing to then create experiences and relevant content throughout the customer journey and to support our specialized products lines including Yearbooks, Class Rings, Graduation Products, and Professional Sports. Through executing across a variety of consumer touchpoints on jostens.com, social, e-mail and print materials, the team collaborates with internal partners to create relevant and timely marketing campaigns to meet the needs of our customers.
