Title : Food Scientist Location : Fort Mill, SC Type : Direct Hire Shift / Schedule : Monday - Friday, 9 : 00am - 5 : 00pm EST Salary : Negoitable starting rate at 55k (Based on Experience) $10,000 Relocation Assistance Responsibilities : Accurately weigh raw materials for product development. Perform basic cooking techniques (baking, deep-frying, sautéing). Conduct basic analysis (salts, moisture, pH, granulations). Develop, modify, or reverse engineer food products. Maintain clear project documentation (notebook, formulas, paperwork). Use existing ingredients when possible. Review projects with manager before formulation. Prepare ingredient declarations. Ensure timely project completion. Enter formulations into system. Monitor food safety. Assist with "lunch & learn" and customer visits. Requirements : B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or related field (Food Science degree is a plus). 3 years of experience in Food Science or food industry. Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills; proactive mindset. High proficiency in Microsoft-based applications. Ability to write and review technical procedures and regulations. Able to accurately taste and smell flavor profiles and food products. Skilled in mixing and compounding seasoning blends and flour bases. Self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. #M3
