What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Aide Instructor position at Journey Allied Health Training Center?
Retirees welcomed!! Located in beautiful downtown Peekskill, NY, Journey Allied Health Training Center, LLC is looking to hire RN instructors to teach our CNA program and also LPN instructors for clinical and skills lab. This is a 1099 contract position. We offer day, evening and weekend courses. Our full-time programs are 4 weeks, and our part-time programs are 6-12 weeks long.
Responsibilities:
· Instruct the CNA curriculum in the classroom, instruct and supervise skills lab and clincals
· Maintenance of student records
· Documentation of student progress
· Attend staff meetings as needed.
Requirements:
· Current non-expired NYS RN license (for classroom instruction)
· Current non-expired NYS LPN license (for clinical/ skills lab)
And one of the following
· Certification to teach CNA program from the Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS). We can assist with obtaining certification
· At least 2 years’ experience as a nurse working in a long-term care setting and then obtain teaching certification from BPSS (we will assist with obtaining certification).
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
