What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Education Teacher - Elementary position at Journey Church?
This full time faculty member will teach elementary physical education to Kindergarten - 6th grade students. We are looking for a teacher who loves working with elementary age students, is a Christian role model, and is passionate about Christian education. Our PE Teachers are responsible for inspiring our young learners to develop a lifelong love for fitness, teamwork, and healthy living. This teacher will design and implement an engaging age-appropriate PE program that aligns with Christian values and promotes physical well-being, character development, and good sportsmanship.
All teachers must have a minimum of a 4-year Bachelor's degree, willingness to apply for ACSI Teacher Certification within the first year at CLS, personal & professional references, accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior, and dedication to Christian teaching. State teaching licenses are preferred, but not required.
Christian Life School is located in Kenosha, Wisconsin. We are coming up on our 45th anniversary as a Christian school! We are a Preschool - 12th grade school. Our enrollment is typically around 720 students in preschool - 12th grade. We draw families from six counties in southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois. We're one of the largest private schools in Wisconsin.
