What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant Instructor position at Journey Medical Training Center, Tupelo, MS?
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and guidance to students in our Hybrid Medical Assistant Program.
-Present hands on instruction in our campus laboratory.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure effective delivery of educational content
- Assist in the evaluation of student performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Support administrative tasks related to the educational program, such as documentation review and record keeping
Experience:
- Three years of Medical Assistant work experience
- Experience in phlebotomy, immunizations, venipuncture, injections, pharmacology, EKG, wound care, GYN procedures, vitals signs, medical coding, dosage calculations.
- Pediatric experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Skills:
-Proficient in various medical office procedures
-Previous teaching experience is desired
-Orthopedic and cardiology experience is a plus
