Journey Group is seeking a Regional Business Development Manager to expand our footprint in North America, focusing on trade partnerships and sales growth. - Flexibility & Autonomy – Work remotely while traveling 10–12 weeks per year to attend trade events, host FAM trips, and build relationships.
- Engage with a Dynamic Team – Collaborate with business development, marketing, and product teams to enhance our global presence.
What You’ll Do:
Trade Business Development (85%)
- Grow & Manage Trade Relationships – Develop new and existing trade accounts across travel agencies, tour operators, and key industry segments.
- Lead Generation & Qualification – Identify potential partners, qualify leads, and hand off to the Travel Planning Team for booking.
- Sales & Training Presentations – Deliver in-person and virtual product training to trade clients, equipping them with itineraries, visuals, and marketing copy.
- Trade Show & Sales Event Representation – Attend key industry events, execute sales calls, and forge new partnerships.
- Host Webinars & VIP FAM Trips – Generate interest, lead webinars, and help design and execute exclusive familiarization trips.
- Support Customer Service Efforts – Work with sales and operations teams to resolve trade client concerns and maintain high satisfaction levels.
Budget management and reporting (15%)
- Strategic Planning – Collaborate on a regional business development plan with measurable goals.
- CRM Management – Track and analyze all sales activities in Zoho CRM, ensuring accurate data entry and performance tracking.
- ROI Measurement – Monitor and evaluate the impact of trade activities, optimizing strategies for maximum business growth.
Reports to: Director of Business Development
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven Experience – 3–5 years in business development, sales, or trade marketing, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.
- Exceptional Relationship Builder – Skilled at developing and maintaining strong trade partnerships with travel agents, tour operators, and luxury suppliers.
- Strategic & Results-Oriented – Ability to create and execute effective business development plans aligned with company goals.
- Excellent Communication Skills – A compelling speaker and presenter with a knack for persuasive storytelling.
- Passion for Travel & Flexibility – Willing to travel 10–12 weeks per year to engage with trade clients and attend industry events.
- CRM & Data Management Experience – Familiarity with Zoho CRM or similar platforms for sales tracking and reporting.
