Our Opportunity
We're seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team and provide in-home therapy services to patients within the Hinsdale, IL territory. As an OT with JourneyCare Home Health, you'll work closely with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to enhance the patient's ability to perform daily activities.
- Develops treatment programs and establishes goals for improved function.
- Communicates plan of care to referring physicians and other organization professionals as needed.
- May teach new skills or retrain patients in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury.
- Maintains appropriate clinical records, clinical notes, and reports to physicians any changes in the patient's condition.
What You'll Do:
As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you'll play a vital role in helping patients achieve their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing occupation therapy services to patients according to a written physician's plan of care.
- Teaching new skills or retraining patients in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury.
- Communicating plans of care to referring physicians and other organization professionals as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- At least Two (2) years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist (Preferred).
- Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate automobile insurance.
