JourneyTeam is looking for a Pre-Sales Solution Architect with a specialization in Microsoft Modern Work & Security solutions. As a Principal Pre-Sales Architect, you're a trusted advisor who drives revenue growth, delivers innovative solutions, and collaborates with C-level executives to achieve digital transformation and measurable ROI. You'll shape high-value deals, develop strategic business cases, and lead discovery sessions, using Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and AI-driven tools to meet client-specific challenges.

You'll establish trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, addressing both individual and organizational priorities to foster long-term partnerships. As an industry thought leader, you'll stay ahead of trends, ensure our solutions align with market demands, and collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and delivery teams. Additionally, you'll mentor junior team members and share feedback with product teams to influence solution development

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Achieve Revenue Targets: Collaborate with sales to drive measurable results and achieve revenue targets.
  • Shape Deals: Present tailored solutions, provide technical insights, and align technology to business outcomes.
  • Design Solutions: Architect and deliver end-to-end solutions using Microsoft 365 (M365), Power Platform, and AI-driven tools like Copilot.
  • Develop Strategic Cases: Create business cases and ROI models that secure client commitment and demonstrate the value of Modern Work.
  • Lead Discovery Sessions: Conduct discovery sessions, workshops, and demos to engage and align client stakeholders.
  • Build Relationships: Establish trusted advisor status with executive stakeholders, including C-level decision-makers.
  • Understand Client Challenges: Gain deep insights into clients' business challenges and deliver impactful results that resonate with key stakeholders.
  • Define Goals: Set actionable goals and execution plans to ensure client satisfaction and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Position yourself as an industry thought leader by staying ahead of trends and aligning solutions with market demands.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with sales, marketing, and delivery teams for seamless handoffs and successful implementations.
  • Mentor Team Members: Guide junior team members and peers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in pre-sales activities.
  • Provide Feedback: Share insights with product teams to influence solution development and ensure client needs are met.

Qualifications:  

  • Extensive Experience: Over 10 years in pre-sales, solution architecture, or consulting within the Microsoft ecosystem, with a proven impact on revenue growth.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power Platform, modern AI tools like Copilot, and industry best practices for hybrid work solutions.
  • Leadership & Communication: Skilled at presenting complex solutions to C-level audiences, building high-value client relationships, and mentoring technical teams.
  • Preferred Certifications: Microsoft 365 Certifications (e.g., MS-700, MS-900), PMP, APICS, or Prosci, and experience with Microsoft Catalyst.
  • Travel Requirement: Up to 30% travel within North America for client engagements, conferences, and team collaboration.

At JourneyTEAM, we set you up for success. Here’s what to expect in your first 30, 60, and 90 days and beyond as a Pre-Sales Solution Architect.

30 Days:

  • Read The Ideal Team Player by Patrick Lencioni.
  • Shadow sales and pre-sales teams to learn our process, Microsoft partnership model, and customer engagement strategy.
  • Begin supporting pre-sales efforts, including discovery sessions and solution alignment.

60 Days:

  • Actively drive pre-sales engagements, contributing to pipeline growth and customer conversations.
  • Establish relationships with our internal team and Microsoft TSPs and align with co-sell motion

90 Days:

  • Fully own the pre-sales process and drive technical sales strategy for our customers.
  • Achieve 100% quota attainment pace, directly influencing revenue.
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor with customers and Microsoft stakeholders.

6 Months: 

  • Consistently influencing revenue and hitting pre-sales KPIs. 

1 Year:

  • Exceed quota expectations, own strategic pre-sales initiatives, and establish a strong presence in the Microsoft Partner Ecosystem.


Compensation: 

Salary Commission with OTE $250,000 - $300,000

We enjoy flexible time off and our employees average 3.5 to 4 weeks off a year. We also provide a monthly phone stipend of $25 as well as a gym membership monthly reimbursement of up to $200.
