Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated nanny with 2 years of experience to work with a family of two children. The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking to form a lasting relationship with the family, providing high-quality care while creating a positive, educational, and engaging environment for 2 boys ages 5 and 1 years old. This position also requires comfort around dogs (two 9-year-old Weimaraners).
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 9 AM – 4 PM (7 hours/day, 28 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, compassionate care to children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Engage children in creative Montessori play and educational activities that promote learning and development.
- Support the family’s needs with flexible and responsible caregiving.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s well-being and development.
- Utilize growth and play therapy techniques to positively redirect emotional behaviors.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
- Perform light household duties related to the child, including meal prep, cleanup, and laundry. Additional tasks may be requested.
- 2 years of experience in childcare, as a private nanny, or in a related field.
- Must be 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or GED.
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required.
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
- Experience in managing and redirecting children’s behaviors in a positive way.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children.
- Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
