We’re an active, good-natured, Christian family of 4. We both work long hours in the military (outside the home) and are excited to be living under the same roof in Oceanside after serving in different locations. Our 2-year-old daughter is in daycare so the care is almost solely for our infant son. We are both avid readers who love the outdoors and value our small circle of close friends. I’m a friendly, but more introverted Mom, and my husband is social and extroverted. We enjoy going to coffee shops, zoos, and aquariums when we’re not working.
Our 10-month-old son is engaging, and he is on the move! He’s crawling all the time, and you have to really keep your eyes on him. He enjoys making eye contact and talking.

You are attentive, affectionate, and neat. You take initiative and are a nanny who likes to keep busy. You are experienced specifically with infants, and being proactive is one of your best traits. You are flexible when parents need you to stay a little later, and you are capable of engaging children without the use of screen time. You are not someone who frequently needs to check their phone, and are present when caring for children. You have solid communication with parents. You are willing to align with the parents’ preferred parenting style, and you are the type of nanny that truly feels good when helping others.
Job Duties:
Playing with our child, reading to him, changing diapers, feeding him purees, providing various stimulating activities that aid in child development child-related tidying, baby laundry, potty training, sleep training, following nap and feeding routines, ensuring safety, bottle feeding using frozen breast milk supply, light dishes plus loading and unloading the dishwasher, cleaning bottles, keeping play area organized, cleaning up the table after meals, vacuuming in eating and play areas, general tidying in the kids’ bathroom, daily sanitization of our baby’s toys and putting them away, and supervising trips to the park eventually.
Position Highlights:
Qualifications: Infant CPR certification, 7-10 years of childcare experience specifically with 10-18 months old, fluent in English, American citizenship, high school diploma, a valid Driver’s License, a reliable vehicle, willing to take a Driving and Drug Screen if requested, must have prior nanny experience OR a combination of personal childcare experience as well as professional childcare references, able to climb stairs, able to regularly lift a 20 lb baby, prior potty training experience and sleep training experience.
Set yourself apart: You have more than 10 years of childcare experience, have experience making baby purees, enjoy cleaning/keeping busy, and /or you have experience with baby-led weaning.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (7:15a-5:15p)

Pay: $25-$30 and hour
