What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-time Nanny in San Diego, CA for 3-month-old Twins position at Jovie of CA, WA, and MN?
A bit about us:
We are a welcoming family of 6, including our family dog, Bear. We love the outdoors and going to the beach. We enjoy hiking, camping, cooking, and rock climbing. My husband works from home (with a dedicated office space), and I work outside the home as a scientist. The care is primarily for our twin daughters, as our eldest will be at school during our nanny’s usual hours.
One of our 3-month-old twin daughters just started smiling, and she is generally in a good mood! She thrives on a schedule. She’s an easy baby!
Our other 3-month-old twin daughter is alert and has great eye contact. She can be a little fussy, and likes to be held when she wakes up from a nap. They both like being talked to and read to.
Our energetic 3.5-year-old is a proud big sister; she just loves her baby twin sisters! She loves art, drawing, and reading. She will only be home on rare occasions like date nights.
A bit about you:
You are an attentive, dependable career nanny. You are comfortable following a routine and have strong communication skills. You’re the type of nanny who anticipates needs like washing baby bottles and seeing what needs to be done when the twins are napping. You live in the moment, and you’re not checking your phone all day. You love talking to babies and going outdoors for fresh air and sunshine!
Job Duties: All child-related care such as bottle feeding (and transitioning to solids eventually), making baby purees, diaper changes, burping, swaddling, soothing, tummy time, age-appropriate play and stimulation, following nap/feeding/play routine, communicating details of the day with the parents, ensuring safety, reading books, stroller walks, outdoor time, baby laundry and baby-related cleaning, bottle washing, and light tidying. *Occasionally caring for all three girls for a date night with prior communication.
Position Highlights:
Set yourself apart: You have a Bachelor’s degree, or have studied Early Childhood Development. You know baby sign language and/or are willing to learn baby sign language.
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-4p or 9a-5p)
Starting February 2025!
Pay: $30-$35 an hour
**All applicants must first interview with a Jovie specialist. Qualifying applicants will meet the family prior to being hired. This job is not visa eligible.
*Please note that during this time of COVID-19, Jovie expects all employees to follow CDC guidelines and ensure best hygiene practices when working and in their personal time. This family is following these recommended guidelines cautiously and conservatively and expect the caregiver to do the same to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
