Overview
The Logistics Administrator will support the daily operations of the Traffic Department. This position will review and optimize processes for efficient distribution and logistics flow, ensuring timely delivery of products to customers.
Responsibilities
- Process freight AP ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices for traffic services provided, including tracking billing discrepancies and resolving issues to maintain provider satisfaction
- Monitor and assist in resolving issues regarding transportation service providers and/or customer related issues
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations including but not limited to FMCSA, DOT, HUT, IFTA
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, and shipping
- Assist in the daily operations of the Logistics department
- Review and explore technology, process improvements, and reporting to promote departmental efficiency and effectiveness
- Performs other duties as assigned
Essential Functions
- Must have strong clerical and organizational skills
- Prior Logistics experience a plus
- Able to read, analyze, and follow directions
- Strong ability to analyze/interpret technical information and form conclusions
- Must be able to speak, listen, and effectively communicate with team members and customers and actively participate in/lead team meetings
- Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills
- Must be highly motivated and able to work well both independently and in a team environment
- Work is primarily sedentary, involving extensive computer systems/software operation and regular use of office equipment
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
- Requires frequent movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading
- Adherence to the company attendance policy is required, which includes expectations of punctuality and limited unapproved absences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or applicable experience
- Excellent computer skills including proficiency in MS Office
Pay Range
USD $22.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.Salary : $22 - $26
