Job Description
Essential Functions:
Create and implement business development initiatives.
Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency,
product quality, and customer experience.
Evaluate and advise on the impact of new programs/strategies.
Oversee the development and implementation of marketing initiatives.
Maintain our position as an industry leader in customer service and product quality.
Monitor financial performance and allocation of resources to maintain financial health.
Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism, which includes
minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
Predict industry trends to forecast the impact on the financial health of the company.
Identify and eliminate areas of financial waste.
Ensure compliance with city, county, state, and federal regulations and regulatory bodies.
Maintain appropriate licensing for the above.
Oversee the development of appropriate safety programs and initiatives.
Create and maintain a positive, rewarding work environment for employees.
Promote a culture that incentivizes all employees to perform to their potential.
Provide employees with mentorship and professional growth opportunities.
Establish and enhance credibility and reputation within the Construction Industry.
Attend marketing events and philanthropic events as a representative of the company.

Maintain relationships with our suppliers and sub-contractors.
Report to the Board of Directors regularly
Provide timely and accurate analysis and reports to assist the Board in performing their
responsibilities.
Work with the board to develop and implement business strategies
Review the annual operating plan, including sales goals, renewal rates, and profit objectives
Daily Tasks
Pricing bid proposals
Use the company pricing model and adhere to target gross profit margins
Consult with estimators on the scope of work to ensure the accuracy of written contracts
Reviewing contracts
Review, red-line, and sign contracts from suppliers, general contractors, customers, sub-
contractors, etc.
Reviewing invoices
Comparing invoices to estimated job costs to ensure accuracy
Protect the company from embezzlement and waste
Signing checks
Ensuring the accuracy of payroll and AP
Reviewing Commissions
Review job costs to ensure the accuracy of accounting and profit margins
Approve or deny commissions based on profitability
Scheduling jobs
Meeting with estimators to schedule jobs and avoid conflicts due to limited equipment or
personnel.
Maintaining the integrity of the “job board”
Personnel management
Approve/deny requests for time off
Interview potential new hires and negotiate starting salary
Exorcise disciplinary action when necessary
Negotiate raises and promotions
MUST HAVES:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, specializing in asphalt paving, concrete flatwork (sidewalks, curbing, valley gutters, etc.), and seal coating.
High-level management experience (10 years)
Local to San Jose, CA, or close to the area
