JOB SUMMARY
The Aviation Project Manager is responsible for leading and supporting general aviation projects, including planning, client development, and coordination of design and grant applications. This role requires a background in civil engineering, airport management, or transportation planning, along with strong knowledge of FAA regulations and project funding processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, problem-solving, and client relationship skills and be capable of managing multiple tasks independently and as part of a team.
MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, aviation airport management, or transportation planning from an accredited college or university
- 5 years of General Aviation experience required (Registered Professional Engineer licensure a plus)
- Knowledge of planning, grant applications, including FAA Advisory Circulars and FAA Airport Improvement Program Handbook. (Design and specifications are a plus)
- Experience in research and development of new clients and projects in General Aviation
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to establish and maintain client relationships
- Computer skills in Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills. Capable of defining the problem, identifying alternative solutions, and presenting recommendations
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to plan and deliver effective oral and written presentations
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations
- Ability to handle and coordinate multiple tasks and projects
