Job Title: Software License Asset Management Analyst
Location: One Express Way, St Louis, MO 63121 (Hybrid – 3x on-site per week)
Job Type: Contract (7 months )
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Software License Asset Management Analyst to join our client’s team in St. Louis, MO. This role will be responsible for managing software licenses for Microsoft products, ensuring compliance with contract terms, and supporting software license renewal activities. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in asset management or related fields, with a strong understanding of software licensing, particularly Microsoft licensing terms. Experience with Flexera or similar tools is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Asset Management:
- Set up, configure, and maintain application and entitlement data within the Flexera toolset to ensure data accuracy.
- Regularly review and identify data discrepancies using defined measurements and KPIs.
- Remediate data issues by collaborating with stakeholders to gather, verify, and maintain the necessary data.
- Ensure compliance with Software Asset Management Center of Excellence standards, including Key Performance Indicators.
- Analyze and review Microsoft contracts to identify compliance risks and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Generate and analyze reports for stakeholders as needed.
- Software License Compliance & Optimization:
- Maintain software license compliance according to contract terms and conditions.
- Assist with the strategic direction of the Software Asset Management team.
- Drive continuous service improvement efforts by refining processes, tools, and data to enhance the effectiveness of asset management.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, ensuring clear understanding of data findings and business value.
- Contribute to the overall success of the software license management program by supporting both business and technical needs.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in Software Asset Management, with a strong preference for those with a background in analytical, technology, or business roles.
- Familiarity with reviewing and interpreting software license contracts, especially Microsoft licensing.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to assess and relate data to business value and impact.
- In-depth understanding of enterprise-level Microsoft software agreements and software license agreements in general.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
- Ability to learn and maintain knowledge of Microsoft license models.
- Experience with agile methodologies is preferred.
- Familiarity with tools such as Flexera, ServiceNow, Ariba, or similar, and proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with Microsoft Software audits is a plus.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
