Job Summary:
The Planning / Landscape Architect position is responsible for assisting various project teams with site analysis, site & subdivision design, planning entitlement submittals, landscape architecture, and construction document preparation for a variety of private and public sector projects. The individual will have involvement in the production of graphic site design plans and perspective graphics, design details both hand-drawn and digital rendering, design presentations documents and reports.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Site design, subdivision/community and site amenity design.
- Initial duties will include assisting various project teams with site analysis, site and subdivision design, landscape architecture, and construction document preparation for a variety of private and public sector projects.
- Applicants can also expect involvement in the production of site design plan and perspective graphics, design details both hand-drawn and digital rendering, design presentations and reports.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Experience in preparation of presentation plan graphics and site and landscape construction documents.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as ability to professionally interface with clients, consultants, engineers and other project team members.
- Ability to work on multiple projects.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
- Strong graphic skills, with an emphasis on both hand and computer generated graphics.
- Use of AutoCad 3D, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suites, Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and creative skills.
- Interest in and direct experience in land development planning and entitlements, including researching zoning codes and development ordinances, jurisdictional submittals requirements, etc.
- Familiar with and competent with the respective software necessary to execute these duties as well as with AutoCad 3D.
Education/Experience:
- BSLA / BLA or higher degree in Landscape Architecture and/or Planning.
- RLA license a plus.
- Mid-Level 3-5 years of experience.
