What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant/Recruiter position at JRayl Transport?
Summary Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Administers all facets of administrative human resource activities and supports company administrative requirements.
- Assists in administration of company employee programs.
- Performs day to day liaison activities regarding driver base to include orientation, onboarding, follow up and 90 day evaluation events as needed.
- Helps to monitor driver satisfaction and performs follow through with appropriate departments as deemed necessary to ensure driver retention.
- Acts as front desk liaison for guests, deliveries & mail.
- Participates in recruitment effort for exempt and nonexempt personnel (excluding managerial levels and above); and helps to coordinate the use of temporary employees and interns.
- Assists in exit interview process.
- Assists in all company communication efforts to employees.
- Maintains recognition programs and coordinates functions and activities related to Human Resources activities.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Human Resource Management or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources. Prior experience with an HRIS database preferred. Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy.
