Accounting Specialist
JRC, Incorporated, a nationwide commercial roofing and construction company, located in Greenbrier, TN. is currently seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounting Specialist.
Ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in A / R and A / P roles.
MUST LIVE IN THE NASHVILLE, TN AREA. Position is located at our Greenbrier, TN office.
No Remote Work.
Qualifications
Ability to work with all levels of management
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as commissions and discounts
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Excellent attendance record
2 years account receivable / payable experience
Familiar with Viewpoint by Vista a plus
Experience in Construction related accounting preferred
Responsibilities :
Process new customer and vendor applications, collects and reports findings for management review / decisions
Pay vendors, monitor discount opportunities, resolve purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
Prepare and execute payments to suppliers and vendors in a timely manner
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Collaborate with other teams and departments to resolve payment-related inquiries and issues
Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes
Communicate well with managers, coworkers, and the accounting department.
Takes a proactive approach to ensure timely customer collections
Maintains spreadsheets regarding auction customer onboarding and monthly billing
Responds to Vendor and Customer questions / emails, sends monthly billing summaries and order status reports as needed
Performs other cross-departments and related duties as assigned by management.
