Our Palm Beach Gardens branch is currently seeking a Paralegal to support our Real Estate attorneys in commercial and residential transactions.
What you'll bring to the table:
To be successful in this role, you'll be an experienced Microsoft Office 365 user and a friendly, cooperative and positive person. You will need to be an energetic, self-starter who is capable of handling multiple projects and priorities. You must be detail oriented, have excellent grammar, computer, phone and organizational skills. You must be willing to be trained to use our computer forms for drafting documents and either have knowledge of Florida courts e-filing processes and requirements or be able to learn this.
Some details about what you will do:
- You will support multiple attorneys with their real estate transactions.
- You will be responsible for reviewing titles and surveys, checklist coordination for buy/sell and loan transactions.
- You will be able to work independently, dealing directly with title underwriters, preparing title commitments and policies, and have knowledge of the procedures to clear title requirements to close.
- You will generate lease summaries and entity documents and will review and prepare entity resolutions, closing documents and closing statements.
- You will perform a variety of paralegal tasks while delivering high-quality services to internal and external clients, exhibiting commitment to integrity and excellence.
- You will be able to demonstrate thorough knowledge of firm and practice-specific processes and procedures.
- Your responsibilities will include prioritizing, managing and following through on multiple projects while communicating effectively with clients, attorneys, staff and peers.
- You will facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders.
- You will maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific matters.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field; Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience at a mid to large size law firm.
- Proficient in such programs ClosingVU and/or Qualia closing, ATIDS, NetDocuments, iTimekeep, LexisNexis, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
The work-day and benefits:
This full-time position will be accompanied by a competitive benefits package including healthcare and 401k. The hired candidate will enjoy 15 Vacation/PTO days per year and 8 paid holidays. You will work in-office/onsite at our Palm Beach Gardens location with work hours between 8:30-5:30 or 9-6.
