DevOps Engineer

JRH is seeking a DevOps Engineer with a strong background in DevOps and Azure! This is a remote position with a possible requirement for occasional travel to the customer site. The DevOps Engineer must be able to obtain clearance with a Federal Government client, so US citizenship or Green Card is needed. The salary range for this position is $130-145k depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and implement Azure Service Offering using in-depth experience with Azure infrastructure and development
• Implement effective strategies for N – Tier application development in both Cloud and on-premises environments
• Design and configure Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, Azure network settings, DHCP address blocks, DNS settings, security policies and routing, Azure cloud services, blob storage, Active Directory, Azure Service Bus, and Cosmo DB
• Build VMs availability sets using the Azure portal to provide resiliency for IaaS based solution and Virtual Machine Scale Sets (VMSS) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) to manage network traffic
• Execute full lifecycle DevOps implementations, migrations, and upgrades within the Microsoft Cloud Azure solution suite
• Migrate on-premises applications to Azure and configure VNETs and subnets as per the project requirement
• Install and configure the Azure backup agent and virtual machine
• Containerize applications using tools like Docker, ACS, Kubernetes, AKS, and GKE

Requirements:

• 5 years working in Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and GCP
• 5 years of hands-on experience with Azure tools such as Azure Cloud Services, Azure storage, IIS, Azure Active Director (AD), Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Azure Storage, Azure VMs, SQL Database, Azure Functions, Azure Service Fabric, Azure Monitor, and Azure Service Bus
• 5 years of experience with full lifecycle DevOps automation including designing continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in the cloud and on-premises, installations, configuration management, infrastructure automation, release management, development automation, and monitoring of various cloud services
• Experience with Azure DevOps (VSTS, TFS) in both cloud and on-premises with GIT, MS Build, Docker, Ansible, Chef, Maven, and Jenkins
• Deep understanding of Cloud Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) with container-based development skills, micro-services, and other app modernization strategies
• Highly knowledgeable in cloud service models (laaS, PaaS, and SaaS)
• 2 years of working in .NET Core/.NET Framework web applications and APIs using C#
• 1 year experience with Entity Framework and entity, model mappings
• 1 year experience with SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework Webpart development, and Power Platform development (both Model-Driven and Canvas Apps)
• Knowledgeable on document management through integration between Microsoft Dynamics 365 with Azure Blob
• Knowledge of Azure site recovery and Azure Backup
• Expertise in Azure Scalability and Azure Availability
• Experience in ReactJS and related 3rd party component libraries such as Material UI or Office Fabric UI
• Experience with scripting languages – PowerShell, Groovy, Java Scripts, Python
• Understanding of APIs, SDKs, and other integration methods
• Familiar with Network Infrastructure and Security
• Experience in dealing with Unix/Linux and Windows server administration
• Knowledge of IP networking, private tunnel, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewall
• Must have excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, including effectively communicating with technical and non-technical team members and customers
• Experience working in a high demand work environment

Desired:

• Experience with Azure Resources such as Web Apps, Clusters, Container Registry, App Registration, Function Apps, Azure ADB2C etc.
• Azure DevOps builds and releases pipelines, and automated processes
