We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Traveling Construction Superintendent to oversee the development of Ground-up Convenience Stores with Fuel projects. This role is responsible for managing all phases of construction from construction schedule through Operations Turnover, ensuring that project timelines are met with high quality and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail fuel/convenience store construction and be comfortable working remotely.
Responsibilities
- The Commercial Construction Superintendent must have C-store with fuel experience. Shall work in partnership with the Project Manager for creating, updating, maintaining, and managing all the schedules for the project.
- Ability to create a Master Project Schedule with comprehension of required construction activities and logic sequencing.
- Perform daily inspection and required adjustments of SWPPP BMPs. Prepare, maintain, and distribute the two-week schedule for Owner/subcontractors and suppliers.Onsite Management
- Directly responsible for supervising all on-site project subcontractors.
- Must act as a quality control representative to monitor and ensure the correction of any deficient workmanship and/or below-quality work.
- Act as mediator for subcontractor/supplier and staff-related issues.
- Approve material requests and deliveries.
- Assists the Project Manager by overseeing the field construction processes.
- Walk with 3rd party inspections (i.e., geo-tech, structural engineer, fueling consultant) for activities directly supervised.
- Report deficiencies, problems, and delays to the project manager.
- Responsible for the walk-through inspection, ensuring passage from local municipal inspectors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Provide directions to and resolve problems.
- Review subcontract scope for completion of work.
- Ability to identify and resolve field issues preventing schedule delays.
- Inspect and enforce safety policies.
- knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and construction codes. Minimum 10hr OSHA Cert.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Computer skills with the ability to process all digital construction documents. (Print, scan upload/download documents, e-mail, and work in a cloud environment.)
- Speaks clearly and directly with integrity and honesty.
- Writes clearly, informatively, and professionally in all correspondence.
- Must be well organized with outstanding attention to detail.
- Must always maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Needs the ability to hold and document weekly site progress meetings.
- Office 365, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat skills.

Qualifications
- At least 5-10 years of construction experience with 3 years of field experience and 2 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial fuel construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, means, and methods, including all roles and responsibilities of an onsite superintendent.
- Proven track record of completing projects on time and within budget.
- New Ground-up experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Project or similar project management software.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary will be commensurate with experience & will be discussed upon initial interview.
- Accrued Paid Vacation and Paid Holidays to include New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day After Thanksgiving, ½ Day Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and ½ Day New Year's Eve. Eligibility begins the first of the month following completed 60 days of employment.
- 401K – Employer to match 100% up to 3% of employee contributions plus 50% up to 5%. Eligibility begins next January or July following your completion of 60 days of employment.
- Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Insurance for Employee – Eligible first of the month following completed 60 days of employment Employer will cover 75% of Employee Cost.
