Job Summary
A Junior Project Accountant is responsible for supporting the project account for jobs assigned, helping as liaison between accounting and project management ensuring accurate and consistent billing and financial reporting.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist with maintaining organized project contract files
- Learn to understand AIA G702 and G703
- Assist with subcontractor invoices and payments per contract terms and enter in the system
- Interact with clients and vendors in a professional, courteous manner
- Lean to understand Timberline BL, PJ, JC, AP modules
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Assist in review of sub-contractors’ statements
- Support full backup billing of CM Jobs
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay flexible, while meeting deadlines and goals
- 4 Year College Accounting, Finance, or Business Degree preferred but not required
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar position
Computer Systems
- Excellent computer literacy including experience with Microsoft Office product applications (ex. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Proficiency in business software application Timberline preferred but not required.
Salary Information
- To the extent this position is performed in New York, the annual salary range for this role is $65,000 - 80,000.
The range stated is specific to New York. Placement within the listed range depends on many factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, project size capability (for Construction related & Field specific roles) and internal company equity.
