Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to support our team in various bookkeeping and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate strong organizational abilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with AP and AR functions
- Reconcile credit card accounts and vendor discrepancies
- Coordinate office activities, schedule meetings, onsite maintain filing system
- Support the Finance Manager with month-end and year end closing processes
- Provide general administrative support
- Ensure financial records meet regulatory standards, adhering to federal, state and local laws as well as accounting best practices
- Prepare and organize documents, reports, and presentations as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized office environment
Experience
- Minimum 5 years bookkeeping/accounting experience Required
- Experience with General Ledger reconciliation processes
- Experience with government accounting procedures is preferred
- Deltek/CostPoint experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information Required
- Knowledge of GAAP and CAS
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment
