Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our accounting department by performing various bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and assisting with the overall financial operations of the organization.
Duties:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
- Utilize Excel and QuickBooks, to maintain financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of reports as needed.
- Perform reconciliations of bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Support technical accounting functions by maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the accounting department.
Skills
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles.
- Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies or issues in financial data.
