Position Summary :

We are seeking a highly motivated Assistant Land Development Construction Manager to support the management of both horizontal (site preparation and infrastructure) and vertical (building construction) residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in both types of construction and thrive in a dynamic environment where collaboration and attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Support : Assist the field operations team in overseeing all phases of residential development, including horizontal and vertical construction.
  • Site Supervision : Monitor day-to-day site activities, including grading, utility installation, paving, and building construction, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within scope.
  • Vendor Coordination : Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain project records, including schedules, budgets, and change orders, and prepare regular progress reports for leadership.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Support compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning, permitting, and safety requirements.
  • Problem Resolution : Identify and troubleshoot challenges during construction, escalating issues to the Director as needed.
  • Quality Assurance : Conduct inspections and ensure work meets the company’s high standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in residential land development and construction, with exposure to both horizontal and vertical projects.
  • Familiarity with construction processes, including site grading, utility installation, and building systems.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with contractors, consultants, and team members.
  • Knowledge of Georgia’s zoning and permitting processes is a plus.
