Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accountant, located in Ashland, VA. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and performing audits. The role deals heavily with preparing and filing federal, state and local taxes and handling motor fuel tax returns.
Qualifications
- Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Audit Skills
- Experience in Budgeting, Financial Planning, and Cost Analysis
- Knowledge of Financial Regulations and Compliance
- Proficiency in Accounting Software and Tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification is a plus
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in the logistics or fuel industry is a plus
Benefits & Compensation:
Salary Band- $55,000 - $60,000 annually
401k with up to 3% annual company contribution
