Position Summary:
The Director of Integration is a leadership role responsible for leading, developing, and executing the company's automation and technology strategy. Enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and driving innovation through automation solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of automation projects, as well as fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This position is also responsible for the supervision of System Integrators and Maintenance manager,
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy aligned with the company's objectives. Identify opportunities for process automation, robotics, and Al technologies to improve operational efficiency and competitive advantage. Maintain all process equipment records and documentation in accordance with GMP's, safety guidelines.
- Provide support to the Maintenance manager, contributing to the efficiency of maintenance department; which includes support in daily operations, problem solving, decision-making and resource allocation
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of automation, technology and maintenance personnel. Ensure team members are engaged, empowered, and have the necessary skills to succeed. Manage integration personnel and contractors at various sites.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of automation projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Work closely with the site management at all facilities to develop goals, timelines, as related to automation integration Stay current with emerging automation and technology trends, evaluating their relevance to the organization Identify potential risks associated with automation projects and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards.
- Continuously seek cost reduction opportunities through automation and process improvements. Optimize resource allocation and budget management for automation initiatives. Full budgetary responsibility for process automation / automation projects
- Foster collaboration and communication between departments to identify automation opportunities and create a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPl's) to measure the effectiveness and ROI of automation initiatives. Regularly report to senior management and make data-driven recommendations
- Execute other responsibilities and projects as required
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience in leading automation and technology teams, with a minimum of 10 years in leadership
• Strong knowledge of automation technologies, panel design, PLC systems and a firm working knowledge of low/medium voltage electrical troubleshooting, instrument calibration and automated packaging equipment
• Adept in the use of AutoCAD, MS Office, Outlook, Excel and Word and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
- 24-hour-a-day availability required; work overtime and/or on call
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to travel u to 30% of time
