Job Title : Software Manual Engineer
Location : San Diego CA
Duration : 6-12 Months
Interview : WebEx
Must Have :
Experience in Instrument testing,
Direct Experience with Hardware
Exposure to Mechanical Troubleshooting
Requires Skills :
Experience in manual software testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking
Experience with standard software test / QA methodologies (functional, integration, regression testing, etc.)
Basic understanding of the Linux operation system
Experience with applications interacting with hardware (motion control, fluidics, imaging, etc) or a strong interest in learning these domains
Comfortable working with version control systems (e.g. Git) and project management tools (e.g. JIRA)
Ability to systematically diagnose issues in a complex hardware-software environment
Capable of reviewing logs to analyze system behavior, and reproducing defects under varying conditions
Strong written and verbal communication skills to document test results and communicate defects effectively
Ability to work closely with developers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
