As we expand our operations, we are seeking a motivated Business Developer to drive sales for our lay yard and warehousing services, in the commercial and government contracting sectors.
Position Overview:
As a Business Developer, you will play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities and expanding our client base. Your primary focus will be on selling our lay yard and warehousing services, with an emphasis on understanding the nuances of government contracting. This position offers the potential for high earnings based on your performance and results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the lay yard and warehousing sectors, with a focus on government contracts and initiatives.
- Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, government agencies, and contractors to understand their logistics needs and present tailored solutions.
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape within the logistics and government contracting sectors.
- Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to penetrate target markets and achieve revenue goals.
- Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals and presentations for potential clients, highlighting our unique service offerings and advantages.
- Networking: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote JS&J Storage and build connections with potential clients and partners.
- Reporting: Track sales activities, opportunities, and pipeline status using our CRM system; provide regular updates to management regarding progress and results.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in logistics, warehousing, or government contracting.
- Strong understanding of government contracting processes and requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads and track performance.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and networking events.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus, not required.
Compensation:
- This is a 100% commission-based position, offering unlimited earning potential based on sales performance. Commission structure will be discussed during the interview process. This role can be part-time or full-time and is structured as a 1099 position.
