As the Research Coverage Analyst, you will work in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations for the creation of a Medicare Coverage Analysis. You will ensure application of appropriate determinations related to billable charges for protocol-specific tests / procedures.
You will conduct a thorough clinical review of the Protocol, Informed Consent Form and other provided sponsor materials for the development of a Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) and associated amendments.
You will apply coverage determinations to all required protocol-specific tests and procedures and ensure alignment with Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) i.e. CMS, NCCN, iWCLL guidelines, as well as physician practice standards to ensure compliant billing.
You will compare Protocol, Informed Consent Document, Clinical Trial Agreement, MCA, and Research Billing Guide to ensure all are congruent and align with appropriate standards for the development of the MCA and associated amendments.
You will work closely with assigned clinical trial manager and budget analyst to correct any deficiencies prior to protocol activation.
You will review / answer questions related to previously completed financial documents / protocols that arise from a sponsor, Site Services or research site.
You will need for this position :
A Bachelors' degree in a clinical or scientific discipline (RN, or Advanced Medical Degree)
A Minimum of four years of clinical research related experience
Two years of experience in protocol review, budget and / or MCA completion
Prior oncology research experience
Knowledge of common coverage analysis practices
