JSG is hiring an Employee Relations Manager - Union for our client in Madawaska, ME.
Job Duties
- Handles routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies, procedures, and bargaining agreements.
- Serves as the initial contact for intake and assessment of Union complaints.
- Analyzing and interpreting the intent, spirit and terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreements (“CBA”)
- Participating in the Company’s long-term planning and implementation of the CBA as it relates to labor relations.
- Compiling information and developing statistical reports on all matters pertaining to the CBA. Developing recommendations consistent with the CBA and current labor practices under regulations and statutes. Developing and writing policy based on approved recommendations.
- Participating in labor contract negotiations and identifying bargaining issues
- Assists with hiring, and termination of bargaining unit employees and recordkeeping for affirmative action compliance.
- Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, labor relations, and human resources.
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university
- 5 years’ experience in union environment
