Description
JSI seeks an experienced Archeologist / Cultural Resource Consultant to join our team and support ongoing telecom projects in our Lubbock, TX office . As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with project staff to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while providing expertise in cultural resource management. Candidates with experience and permitting in New Mexico are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop and consult on proposals, methodologies, and research designs for cultural resource projects.
- Coordinate and oversee field and laboratory crews, ensuring cultural resources compliance for internal and external clients.
- Lead state and local land use and environmental permitting efforts, including special use permits and certificates of environmental compatibility.
- Collaborate with third-party contractors in preparing environmental documents for permitting processes, coordinating with agencies such as BLM, NMSLO, DOTs, and USFS.
- Provide project support, including compliance reviews, fieldwork assistance, budget coordination, and milestone tracking.
- Engage with clients and project teams to resolve cultural resource issues and ensure projects meet deadlines and regulatory requirements.
- Attend meetings and provide clear project updates, demonstrating professionalism and leadership.
- Mentor and lead teams, promoting a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
