Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly, professional manner, providing them with menus and answering questions about the bistro offerings.
- Take guest orders for food and beverages accurately, ensuring special requests are communicated to the kitchen.
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bistro dining area, including tables, chairs, and floors.
- Ensure that all condiments, utensils, and service items are stocked and readily available.
- Handle cash and process transactions, including credit card payments, following hotel procedures.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the bistro before and after service.
- Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Ensure all food and beverage orders are delivered to guests according to hotel standards and in a professional manner.
- Maintain knowledge of the bistro’s menu, specials, and wine list to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a positive, professional manner.
- Lift, carry, and move food, beverage, and dining equipment, with a requirement to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and health guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and staff.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift, carry, and move items up to 25 pounds.
- Prior experience in a restaurant, café, or bistro setting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require physical stamina.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time.
