Position Overview
- We are searching for an organized and experienced Warehouse Operations Leader to transform, setup, organize and manage a 100,000 square foot food distribution facility.

- Team Leadership: Guide and manage warehouse and operations employees, assisting in training, supervising, and evaluating.
- Operations Development: Determine product handling and storage requirements, equipment use, and shipping methods.
- DOT Compliance & Fleet Management: Handle all DOT compliance aspects, manage fleet maintenance programs, and oversee necessary procurement
- Problem Solving: Train and manage the team to address day-to-day issues and achieve performance goals using Lean Manufacturing tools.
- Planning & Workflow: Prepare workflows, staffing, space allocations, and equipment layouts to meet company standards.
- Leadership Communication: Collaborate with the leadership team on performance results, safety issues, job assignments, and strategic initiatives.
- Food Safety and HACCP Compliance: Collaborate with the Food Safety/Quality Assurance team, ensure food safety regulations are followed, and train staff on safety practices.
- Warehouse Layout and Organization: Design and maintain an efficient warehouse layout, implement optimal product organization, and ensure safety compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, integrate new strategies, and monitor KPIs for efficiency.
- Education: BS/BA/AAS in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field or an equivalent of 5 years of warehouse management in a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience: 5-7 years in warehouse management within a food, perishable, refrigerated, freezer or related environment
- Leadership: 5 years in a leadership role in a warehousing setting with a passion for coaching, teaching, mentoring and developing a strong team.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with WMS, ERP, MRP, and TMS platforms. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Additional Experience: Metrics, capacity planning, value-added services, HACCP, FDA, USDA, AIB, SQF, BRC, seasonal workforces, and safety.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish.
- Certifications: Forklift certified.
- Lean Operations: Knowledge of Lean Operations, Six Sigma, Kanban, and Kaizen systems.
- Systems Experience: Familiarity with automated conveyor systems, pick-to-light systems, and RF-driven applications.
