We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement of packaging components essential to our production process. This is a high-impact role working directly with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality packaging solutions.

What You'll Do
Manage the sourcing and purchasing of various packaging components including but not limited to : corrugated, folding cartons, sticks, and miscellaneous packaging items to support 6 production facilities.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
Lead the bid process for key packaging categories, ensuring competitive pricing and reliable supply.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, marketing, and engineering to ensure packaging needs align with business goals.
Work with artwork and graphics coordination for packaging materials, ensuring compliance with brand standards.
Continuously evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality, service, and cost expectations are met.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, developing contingency plans as needed to minimize disruptions.
Manage inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of materials to meet production schedules.
Conduct cost analysis and budgeting to maintain accurate pricing and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Coordinate new item development and supplier trials for packaging materials.
Handle invoice approvals for plates, artwork, and cutting dies, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Maintain up-to-date supplier data and pricing files, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Ensure suppliers address any non-conformances in a timely and effective manner.
Requirements :
BS / Bais required, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations or a related field.
5 years of purchasing or procurement experience, ideally within the food and beverage or consumer goods industries.
Must have experience with purchasing packaging materials including corrugated cases, folding cartons, or other packaging materials
Strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of managing supplier relationships.
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite; PowerBi or Tableau experience is preferred
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
Experience with artwork coordination or graphics management is a plus.
