Position Overview
The Administrative/Operations Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of JSOL STUDIOS’ daily operations. This part-time role includes a mix of administrative support, inventory management, and program logistics. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has excellent attention to detail, and is passionate about contributing healing-centered work across Black, Brown and Indigenous communities.
Responsibilities
Administrative (45%)
- Manage calendar scheduling, communication, and documentation for coaching, consultation and group sessions meetings and events.
- Prepare materials for meetings, training, and workshops (e.g., agendas, reports, presentations).
- Maintain and organize physical and digital files, documents, and digital records and provide day-to-day administrative support to the Executive Director.
- Track and report on engagement metrics and program participation using tools like Google Suite and CRM software.
Operations (30%)
- Track and manage inventory of supplies and materials, ensuring timely restocking.
- Support event logistics, including vendor coordination, venue setup, and attendee communication.
- Create and maintain operational tools, such as spreadsheets, calendars, and task trackers.
Community Engagement Outreach (25%)
- Assist with planning and attending outreach events, ensuring smooth execution.
- Maintain social media platforms and assist with digital content creation.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience with BIPOC community-based organizations.
- 1–2 years of experience in administrative and/or operational roles.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Forms) and basic Excel skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, Canva, and CRM tools.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Must have your own reliable transportation for local I-5 travel between King and Pierce Counties.
Highly Desired:
- Multilingual skills (Spanish, Portuguese or French strongly preferred)
- Commitment to equity and working with Black and Brown communities.
- Comfortable with carrying/loading 10 - 20 lbs supplies
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
