City of Boston Credit Union, known as one of the nation’s first credit unions, and under the direction of the Board of Directors (Board), the credit union has an exceptional opportunity for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to drive results and advance organizational culture while instilling core values. The CEO will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership and direct oversight of all credit union business initiatives, ensuring accountability, profitability, and financial stability. The new leader will bring an operational efficiency approach and develop the necessary infrastructures to propel the organization to a new level of member satisfaction and growth.
The successful CEO will foster and maintain a highly cohesive leadership team with a unified purpose for organization-wide engagement, partnering with the Board and cultivating a solid collaborative relationship as the organization continues its stability and growth momentum.
As the incoming CEO, this individual will develop a futuristic outlook of exceptional member engagement creating an a member centric approach. This position will support and highly influence senior leadership team members in rebuilding internal and external relationships to ensure the organization has a solid foundation of operational success and growth opportunities.
A bachelor’s degree is required, and a master’s degree and industry certification are preferred. The ideal candidate must have a well-rounded financial services track record, including a leadership/management background, exposure to all facets of lending, finance/ALCO/investment experience, and retail/operations/IT knowledge. An exceptional understanding of credit, risk management, and regulatory compliance requirements is a requirement in this position.
